Stand Up...and Vote believes the time has come for American women to unite and let their voices be heard--loudly, emphatically, together. Stand Up...and Vote is creating a coalition of women's groups, organizations and private/public partnerships that use their power, to join together and sing the same song. Stand Up...and Vote is exercising our hard-won right, to make a difference. To Vote. Vote on issues, that can change our world and that of our children's. Issues like:

• Poverty	• Retirement benefits
• Job creation and equality	• Terrorism
• Violence against women	• Security
• Healthcare	• The environment
• HIV/AIDS prevention	• And more...

We believe that American women have a duty and an obligation. As the most powerful, best educated, wealthiest and most privileged society in history, we must stand up, not only for ourselves, but for women the world over, who cannot stand up for themselves. Not to be told how to vote, but to vote. To become familiar and educated with the issues. And to help change a world, where:

• Every minute, a woman or girl dies from a pregnancy related cause

• More women than men are infected and dying from HIV/AIDS, than men

• 130 million women suffer from some form of genital mutilation

• Two million girls, age 5-15 are forced into prostitution

• Women own only 1% of the world's land and receive only 10% of it's income

• Of all the illiterate adults, two thirds are women

• Women are continually abused, worldwide- ten are killed everyday, in the United States, alone

Together, we can change this sobering reality...for ourselves...for our children...for our world... If not now, when?
